HOME What Projects ICABE Implements Construction of education support system comprising three factors

Construction of education support system comprising three factors

1. Construction of comprehensive database for Asian business education

A comprehensive database is created by integrating Asian business managerial know-how, gathered and stored by respective corporations, with Asian business education know-how and information that has been independently maintained in educational institutes at home and abroad.Furthermore, we will augment this comprehensive database with other appropriate information such as book reviews on the latest learning materials; we will also include the managerial indexes of corporations doing business in Asia, as well as information regarding existing databases for managerial environments in Asian countries.

2. Promotion of joint studies on global management problems

The Consortium encourages member educational institutes and corporations to conduct joint studies on global managerial problems concerning Asian enterprises, making good use of know-how and information stored in the comprehensive database. The achievements of these joint studies are also stored in the comprehensive database and exploited in joint development of teaching methods and learning materials.

3. Joint development of original learning materials and teaching methods

Educational institutes and corporations in the Consortium jointly develop original learning materials (business cases, textbooks etc.) and new teaching methods, based on know-how and information stored in the comprehensive database, and the results of joint studies. The achievements of such development are also stored in the comprehensive database for mutual use by Consortium members.

As stated above, the comprehensive database, the joint studies on managerial problems and the joint development of learning materials and other tools are closely interrelated; these three factors together comprise an education support system.
